Surakarta, April 16th 2026— The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FTTE) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), located at Jalan Ir. Sutami No. 36 A, Surakarta, Central Java, has officially expanded its international collaboration network. This milestone is marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with two leading higher education institutions in Taiwan: the College of Science and Engineering, National Dong Hwa University (CSE NDHU) and the Graduate Institute of Network Learning Technology, National Central University (NLT NCU).
This strategic agreement was signed by Dr. Imam Sujadi, M.Si., serving as the Dean of FKIP UNS. Meanwhile, on behalf of the Taiwanese partners, the agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Wu-Yuin Hwang, acting as the Dean of CSE NDHU as well as a Distinguished Professor at the Graduate Institute of Network Learning Technology, NCU. This cross-border international cooperation is set for a duration of five (5) years from the date of the document’s signing.
Under this MoA framework, both parties have agreed to synergize closely in encouraging cooperation between faculty members or lecturers in relevant fields of study. Broadly speaking, FKIP UNS, alongside NDHU and NCU, is committed to making active endeavors to cooperate in the areas of education, research, academic services, and student development activities. The primary focus of this collaboration is directed toward areas of mutual interest, particularly those relevant to technology-based learning and research on science and engineering for education.
Within the mutually agreed-upon fields, several general forms of cooperation will be pursued by both parties. These programs include the exchange of graduate students, faculty members, and administrative staff. Furthermore, this cooperation facilitates the exchange of academic information and various forms of scientific publications on a regular basis.
Another crucial strategic activity is the implementation of joint research and the publication of scientific papers, particularly in the fields of technology-based education , science, and engineering education. In addition, FKIP UNS and its two partner campuses in Taiwan will collaborate in organizing various scientific forums, such as joint conferences, lectures, seminars, and workshops , as well as other activities mutually agreed upon by both parties in the future.
Regarding the implementation mechanism, the technical details of any particular initiative or derivative program resulting from this MoA will be further negotiated and formalized through written amendments or annex/addendum documents agreed upon by both parties. Both institutions also understand that all financial arrangements for executing these activities will depend on further negotiations and the availability of funds from each institution.
To ensure smooth communication and on-the-ground program implementation, the parties have designated specified personnel as official contact persons. In the partnership with NDHU, FKIP UNS has appointed Murni Ramli, Ed.D. from the International Office of FKIP UNS , while NDHU is represented by Prof. Dr. Wu-Yuin Hwang as Dean. Meanwhile, for the partnership with NCU, FKIP UNS has entrusted the mandate to Prof. Dr. Sri Marmoah as the Head of the Master’s Program in Elementary Teacher Education , with Prof. Dr. Wu-Yuin Hwang acting as the official representative from NCU.
