As part of the international collaboration between FKIP UNS and the University of Münster, a special Microteaching Supervision session will be held. Supervising the session are Prof. Dr. Hans-Dieter Barke and Dr. Hilde Wirbs, both experienced teacher educators from Germany.
Date & Time: Wednesday, 22 April 2026, 08.30–11.00 WIB
Venue: Rooms 406 & 407, Building D, FKIP UNS
Participants: Selected groups of teacher candidates (exact cohorts to be confirmed by study programs)
Activity Description:
Microteaching is a proven technique for improving teaching skills through short, focused lessons and constructive feedback. In this session, small groups of students will deliver 10–15 minute mini-lessons in front of their peers and the two supervisors. Afterwards, Prof. Barke and Dr. Wirbs will provide individualized feedback on lesson planning, classroom communication, student engagement, and the use of experiments or analogies in science teaching.
Learning Benefits:
- Receive direct input from international experts.
- Identify strengths and areas for improvement in real time.
- Observe peers’ teaching styles and learn collaboratively.
Due to limited space, participation is by prior registration through the Chemistry and Science Education program coordinators. Observers may be allowed if capacity permits.
