

Surakarta, October 18, 2024, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) officially sent off its students participating in the SEA-Teacher Program Batch 10. This event marks the beginning of an exciting journey for the selected students, who will be heading to various partner universities across Southeast Asia. The partner universities include University of Santo Tomas, Thepsatri Rajabhat University, Udon Thani Rajabhat University, Iloilo Science and Technology University, Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), University of Saint Louis, and Cavite State University.



The send-off ceremony was attended by key figures from FKIP UNS. Among them were the Dean, Dr. Imam Sujadi, M.Si., Vice Dean, Dr. paed. Nurma Yunita Indriyanti, M.Si., M.Sc., along with several Heads of Study Programs and representatives from the International Office (IO). The event was a heartwarming occasion, filled with encouragement and motivation for the students as they prepare for their teaching practice abroad.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Imam Sujadi expressed his pride in the students for their achievement and emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and professional development in the SEA-Teacher program. He encouraged the participants to embrace the new challenges and opportunities awaiting them in the partner universities, while upholding the values of FKIP UNS and making a positive impact on the communities they will serve. The SEA-Teacher program, which promotes international collaboration in education, allows pre-service teachers to gain valuable teaching experience in schools across Southeast Asia. This initiative is not only a stepping stone for the students to hone their teaching skills but also an opportunity for cultural immersion and global networking. The participants are expected to return with enhanced pedagogical knowledge and a broader understanding of different educational systems.
