Surakarta, April 6th, 2026. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) continues to strengthen its international academic ties through the SEA-Teacher (Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia) program. On , FKIP UNS officially welcomed two delegates from Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), Philippines, during a welcoming ceremony held at Building F, FKIP UNS.
The participating students, Joeyana S. Balnig and Antoinne Yleoj A. Develles, are both specializing in Teacher Education Major in Computer Science. Their arrival marks a continued commitment to regional collaboration, aimed at enhancing the global competencies of future educators.
The ceremony was led by the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Imam Sujadi, M.Si. In his opening remarks, Dr. Sujadi expressed his appreciation for the program and encouraged the students to fully immerse themselves in the academic and cultural environment of Surakarta. The event was also attended by the FKIP International Office team and faculty members from the Informatics Education Department, who will serve as academic supervisors during the internship.
Joeyana and Antoinne are scheduled to conduct their teaching practicum for three weeks at SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta. Their primary focus will be delivering Computer Science lessons to local students while gaining firsthand experience with the Indonesian secondary education system.

Through the SEA-Teacher initiative, both ISAT-U and UNS aim to foster a strong synergy that prepares students for the challenges of teaching in an increasingly interconnected global landscape.
