In October 2025, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), warmly welcomed a group of international students participating in the SEATEACHER Batch 11 Inbound Program. The program brought together 21 student-teachers from the Philippines and Thailand representing various universities across Southeast Asia.

The participating students include:
- Saint Louis University, Philippines: Jenelyn G. Bascos, Christian Ervhen S. Laguatan, and John Nicko Angelo Peralta
- Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Philippines: Vlesielyn H. Baning, Micaella J. San Pedro, and Edgar J. Domingo Jr, Mark Daniel B. Delos Santos
- Mariano Marcos State University, Philippines: Glenn Webforges D. Ricardos, Kim Dana A. Hermano, Yvonne Joy D. Cenal, Jessan Rose R. Gaoiran, and Rizza Rose C. Cajudoy
- Udon Thani Rajabhat University, Thailand: Miss Chiratchaya Somsri, Mr. Porntawa Akatchai, and Miss Kornwipa Panthale
- University of Northern Philippines: John Carlo Madariaga Piano, Princess Jelliene Fernandez Grande, and Maina Shane Viernes Teñoso
- University of Santo Thomas, Philippines: Juan Miguel B. Felicisimo, Franchesca Gwen Remigio Paguibitan, and Aria Danielle Pauline Sanz
Their arrival was warmly received by the leadership and International Office (IO) team of FKIP UNS. The welcoming ceremony highlighted UNS’s ongoing commitment to international collaboration and cross-cultural exchange in education.




As part of their one-month teaching practicum, the inbound student-teachers are assigned to several public schools in Surakarta, including SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta, SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta, and SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta. During their stay, they will gain valuable teaching experience, engage in cultural exchange, and collaborate with local teachers and students.
Through the SEATEACHER program, FKIP UNS continues to foster regional educational cooperation and provide meaningful opportunities for aspiring educators to experience Indonesia’s educational environment firsthand. The program also strengthens UNS’s role as a leading institution in Southeast Asia committed to nurturing global-minded teachers and promoting international understanding.
